Ingredients

8 large potatoes, cubed

2 med onions, chopped

3 T butter or margarine

1/2-1 lb bacon, cooked crisp, drained and crumpled

3 chicken bouillon cubes

2 T dried parsley

6 c water

2 c milk

1/2 c flour

1/4 c water

1 tsp salt

1/4-1/2 tsp pepper

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients except flour, 1/4 c water, salt and pepper in large slow cooker.
  2. Cover. Cook on High 6 hrs, and then on Low 3 hrs.
  3. Make paste out of flour and water. Stir into soup one hour before serving. Season with salt and pepper.
