Ingredients

2 sqs. unsweetened chocolate

1/2 stick margarine or butter

1 c. white sugar

1 egg

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 c. self-rising flour

1/2 c. finely chopped pecans

several tbsps. milk

Preparation

Melt chocolate and margarine or butter. Add sugar, egg, salt, flour, milk , and chopped nuts, bake at 350 degrees F. about 15-20minutes. Place pan in the middle of the oven. They will look half-baked, but mark in squares immediately and they will harden as they cool. The secret for a good, chewy brownie is the milk added to keep the mixture soft. Test with a toothpick to find out when done.
