Ingredients

4 eggs

3/4 C milk

3/4 teaspoon vanilla

4 C flour

2 C sugar

3 1/2 tbsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

oil for deep frying

Preparation

In a deep skillet or wok, heat oil to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl, beat eggs, milk, and vanilla. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

Add dry ingredients to egg mixture, and stir until dough is smooth.

Drop teaspoonfuls of dough into oil and fry until golden brown, about 6-8 minutes. Doughnuts will rise to surface. Drain on paper towels and serve hot. Can be stored for up to two weeks in refrigerator.
