Ingredients
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup half and half
1/4 teaspoon each salt & pepper
3 teaspoons Dijon mustard
12 eggs
1/4 cup chopped fresh herbs (chives, thyme, dill, rosemary, etc.)
Preparation
Place cheese in the bottom of a 9"x13" baking dish. Dot with butter. Combine cream, salt & pepper, and mustard. Beat eggs and herbs. Pour half of the cream mixture over cheese. Pour in the eggs. Pour in the remaining cream mixture. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes or until set.
