Ingredients

Crust

1 cup flour

1/2 cup walnuts

1 tablespoon sugar

1 tablespoon salt

1 tablespoon black pepper

1/4 cup oil

1/4 cup milk

1 tablespoon dry tarragon

Filling

2 spoons oil

1 large onion,finely diced

1 cup fresh figs cut into cubes

2 to 3 oz crumbled blue cheese

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cp chopped walnuts

2 eggs

salt and black pepper

Preparation

Crust Pulse flour and nuts in a food processor until resembles fine crumbs. Add oil, milk, salt, pepper and herbes until dough comes together ,in a ball. Press into a 9 inch tart pan,previously greased and floured. Filling Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat add onion,sprinkle with salt and black pepper until onion becomes tender and golden.Set aside heat, stir walnuts, cream, beaten eggs. Add blue cheese and figs. Mix well. Spoon mixture into tart shell. Bake at 350 degrees until golden. Cool 10 minutes before serving. Serve 8.
