Ingredients

4oz plain flour

4oz unsalted butter at room temperature

2oz cornflour

2oz castor sugar

Preparation

Easy peasy. Put all ingredients in a food processor and whizz until it forms a ball. Pat flat into a buttered 8" flan dish and smooth with a pallet knife dipped in water. Prick all over with a fork. Ring the changes by pressing chopped glace cherries or chopped preserved ginger onto the top. Bake at 180 degrees for 35 minutes or adjust to your own oven.
