Ingredients
1 bag of Bear Creek Gumbo Mix found at some Walmarts and Ingles in the soup section.
1 can cut okra
1/2 lb. of peeled, raw, and deveined shrimp.
1/2 lb. of cooked frozen crawfish tails.
2 teaspoons file'
Preparation
Bring 8 cups of water to a rolling boil. Whisk in bag of gumbo mix lower heat and simmer for 20 to 30 min. stirring frequently. Add 2 teaspoons of file’. Add can of cut okra. Add shrimp and crawfish. Stir in and continue to stir frequently until shrimp and crawfish are done. about 5-7 minutes. Mixture contains rice and other ingredients needed. Dip into bowls and serve hot. Add hot sauce if desired.
