Ingredients
1# ground beef or turkey
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
3/4 C. water
1/2 C. diced green chilies
6 C. torn lettuce
1 tomato (cut in wedges)
sliced green onion
1 C. chopped onion
1 C. chunky salsa
1 15oz. can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 C. tortilla chips
1 C. shredded cheddar cheese
Sour Cream
Preparation
Combine beef and chopped onion in large skillet. Cook over medium heat; stirring occasionally until beef is no longer pink; drain. Add taco seasoning mix, salsa and water; mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook for 2-3 minutes. Stir in beans and chilies. Layer ingredients as follows on six plates: 1/2 C. lettuce, 3/4 C. meat mixture, about 2 TBLS. cheese, tomato wedges, sour cream and green onion.
