Ingredients
4 heads baby bok choy
2 tsp sesame oil
1 T soy sauce
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1 T canola oil
1 1/2 T sesame seeds, lightly toasted
Preparation
- split the baby bok choy in half lengthwise and cut off the base. In a small mixing bowl, combine the sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar and garlic to make a braising liquid.
- Preheat a saute pan until it is very hot. Add the canola oil and sear the bok choy for 1 minute, sauteing constantly. Once the bok choy is hot, turn down the heat to medium, add the braising liquid and continue to saute about 2 minutes.
- Toss the bok choy with half of the sesame seeds. Move to a plate and garnish with the remaining seeds.
