Ingredients

Meatloaf:

1.5 lbs hamburger

1 C. breadcrumbs

1/2 C. milk

1/4 C. grated onion

1 tsp salt

1/8 tsp pepper

1/2 tsp sage

1 egg

3 Tbsp ketchup

Sauce:

3 Tbsp. brown sugar

1/4 C. ketchup

1/4 tsp. nutmeg

1 tsp dry mustard

Preparation

Meatloaf:

  1. Combine milk and breadcrumbs.
  2. Add slightly beaten egg and all of the meatloaf ingredients to the hamburger - stir in.
  3. Form meat in an oblong half moon paddy on a piece of wax paper.
  4. Create a small trough(s) on top of the meatloaf for the sauce. Sauce:
  5. Mix sauce ingredients together; spread over meatloaf in the troughs or ridges.
  6. Cook at 350 degrees for one hour (1 loaf); or 45 minutes for two loaves.
