Ingredients

peach basil syrup:

1 cup tightly packed fresh basil

1/2 cup sugar

juice of one lemon

24 ounces peach nectar

to taste:

chilled vodka

chilled dry sparkling white wine

Preparation

for syrup: place basil & sugar in small saucepan, bruise with wooden spoon. add lemon juice & peach nectar, bring to a boil.

strain syrup through a fine mesh sieve. chill.

to serve: fill a lowball glass with ice, and prepare cocktail according to taste. i prefer the following ratios: 2oz vodka 4oz peach basil syrup 2oz sparking white wine

garnish with sprig of basil. enjoy!
