Ingredients
Pecan Bars
1 c. butter
1/2 c.
2 c. flour
1/2 cup corn starch
4 eggs
2 cups brown sugar
4 T. flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla
1 c. pecans or walnuts
7 oz. coconut
Frosting
1 c. butter
4 c. powdered sugar
8 oz. cream cheese
2 T. vanilla
Preparation
Pecan Bars Pre-heat oven to 250. Cream first four ingredients together (mixture won’t really “cream”, it will be sort of crumbly until you press it down into the pan). Press on a large cookie sheet (jelly-roll pan) 16x12. Cook for 12-15 minutes. Cook until firm, not brown. Beat the eggs and add remaining ingredients. Mix together and pour on cooked, firm crust. Bake at 300 for 15 minutes, then at 350 for 5 minutes. Let cool
Frosting Mix all ingredients for a couple of minutes until frosting is fluffy. Frost and sprinkle with pecans.
