Ingredients

3/4 pound butter

1c icing sugar

1/2 t salt

1/4c sugar

Preparation

cream butter and icing sugar sift flour and salt add to creamed mixture; add vanilla and blend gather dough into a ball; wrap in waxed paper ande chill 4-6 hours roll out to 5/8" thickness cut shapes sprinkle with granulated sugar place on ungreased cookie sheet and regrigerate 45 minutes heat oven to 325 bake 18-20 minutes cool on rack
