Ingredients
3 lbs peeled shrimp
8 tbsp butter
8 tbsp flour
1 14-16 oz can tomato sauce
1 c parsely, chopped
1 tbsp thyme
1/2 tsp basil
3 bay leaves
3 c chicken stock
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp chopped garlic
1 c chopped green onion
4 thin lemon slices
Joe’s stuff seasoning or any creaol seasoning blend
Cooked rice
Trinity = 2 c chopped onion, 1 c chopped celery, 1 c chopped green pepper
Preparation
- Saute shrimp in butter for 2 -3 mins then remove. Add flour and stir over MH heat unitl lighlty browned.
- Add trinity and garlic and saute until onions are transparent. Add remaining ingredients except green onions, parsely and shrimp. Simmer 15 mins.
- Add in remaining ingredients during last 5 mins. Serve over rice.
