bay leaves

potatoes

turmeric

shrimp

vegetable oil

cumin

ginger

Preparation

Make a paste with water, turmeric, cumin, salt and ginger and add to peeled and de-veined shrimp. Also add oil to shrimp

Heat oil and add gira first, then add bay leaves

If adding potatoes (cubed), add turmeric and salt to potatoes and add to the oil. Allow them to lightly brown.

Add shrimp to oil and fry for a bit

Oil will start to separate – add some boiled water and simmer and cover
