Ingredients
2 lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined
5-6 garlic cloves, crushed
2 lemons
butter
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (or to taste)
1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
fresh parsley, chopped (approx 1/4 -1/2 cup)
1/4 cup white wine, a German riesling works beautifully
shrimp.
Melt approx. 1-2 tablespoons butter in saute pan or skillet.
Use medium heat so as not to burn butter. Add salt, garlic, and cayenne pepper. When butter is fairly hot , add Saute about 2 minutes, until beginning to turn pink, then add juice of 1 lemon and wine. Saute another minute or so until shrimp are totally pink. Add parsley (chopped) , squeeze over juice of the other lemon, and serve immediately over a bed of rice. Goes great with hot, crusty bread (my husband especially likes garlic bread), a tossed salad and more of the riesling! Enjoy!
