Ingredients

–1 stick unsalted butter

–1/4 cup finely chopped onion

–3-4 garlic cloves, crushed

– Up to 1 lb. uncooked medium shrimp, shelled & deveined (I use 1/2 lb)

–1/4 cup dry white wine

–2+ tablespoons fresh lemon juice

–Salt & freshly ground pepper

–Optional: Pasta. Pre-cook.

Preparation

Melt butter in medium skillet over low heat. Add onion & garlic and saute until golden, about 10 minutes. Add shrimp and stir just until pink. Remove shrimp. Add wine & lemon juice to skillet; simmer 2-3 minutes. Season with salt, pepper. Pour over shrimp. Alternatively, add shrimp and pre-cooked pasta to skillet prior to serving. Pasta is not traditional but we prefer it. Serve with warm bread.
