Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
1 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons cocoa
2/3 cup milk
1 teaspooon vanilla
1/3 cup boiling water
Preparation
Cream the butter and sugar. Add the egg and vanilla. Put dry ingredients in a bowl and “wet” ingredients in another bowl. Alternate adding some dry, then some wet, to the butter sugar mixture.
Pour batter into a greased baking pan.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
