Ingredients

6 avocados, halved, seeded, and peeled

2 limes, juiced

1 tsp kosher salt

1 tsp ground cumin

1 tsp cayenne

1 medium onion diced

4 medium tomatoes, diced, drained

2 tbsp chopped cilantro

1 clove of garlic, minced

Preparation

  1. Place the scooped avocado pulps in a large bowl, toss and coat the avocados with lime juice. Drain and preserve the lime juice (for step #4) after all the avocados have been coated.

  2. Add the salt, cumin, cayenne, mashing thoroughly with a potato masher.

  3. Fold in all the onion, tomato, cilantro, and garlic.

  4. Mix and mash 2 tablespoon of the reserved lime juice. Let sit at room temperature for an hour before serving.
