Ingredients
2 lbs. ground chuck (or 2 lbs beans, or some combination of the two)
2 chopped onions
3 garlic cloves
20 oz. tomato sauce
2 (16 oz) cans whole tomatoes
4 Bay Leaves
1 Tbso. vinegar
1 Tbsp. marjoram
1 Tbsp. oregano
1 Tbsp. chili powder
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp each of cinnamon, nutmeg, & cumin and then more to taste
Serve with spaghetti, cheddar cheese, tomato sauce, butter, & chopped onions
Preparation
Cooke beef and drain, then saute with onion & garlic. Add rest of ingredients and simmer 1 1/2- 2 hours.
To serve: Mix 5-8 oz.’s tomato sauce and 1-2 Tbsps butter into hot spaghetti. Put in bowl and pour desired amount of chili over. Serve with grated mild cheddar cheese and chopped onions.
