Ingredients
A shoulder
or a Boston butt
or any other cheap cut of pork that ain’t fit for roasting.
Preparation
Quarter four or five onions and toss them into the bottom of your slow cooker. Put the pork on top of them. Add about a teaspoon of liquid smoke, as much seasoning as you like, and a couple of sprigs of sage. Set it on low and let it go all day, until the pork is falling apart. Take it out, shred it with two forks, and simmer it just submerged in the sauce of your choosing until it’s absorbed most of it. Enjoy.
