Ingredients

1 3" serrano pepper

28 oz can of crushed tomatoes

2 cloves garlic crushed

1 tbsp capers drained and rinsed

1 tbsp sugar

2 1/2 tsp smoke paprika

1 tbsp kosher salt.

Preparation

Remove stem and half of the seeds of the pepper and coarsely chop. Pulse with rest of the ingredients until chunky. Bring to a boil over the stove, reduce heat and simmer until thickened. Salt to taste and keep warm.
