Ingredients
½ cup butter
1 cup sugar
¼ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon cream of tarter
1 egg
½ teaspoon vanilla
1½ cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Preparation
In a mixing bowl beat the butter with an electric mixer for 30 seconds. Add the 1 cup sugar, baking soda, and cream of tarter. Beat till combined, scraping sides of bowl. Beat in the egg and vanilla till combined. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer.
Combine the 2 tablespoon sugar and the cinnamon. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls. Roll balls in the sugar-cinnamon mix and place on the cookie sheet. With the bottom of a glass gently tap down the cookies. Bake at 375 oven for 10 to 11 minutes or till edges are golden.
