Ingredients

1/2 cup butter (softened)

1 cup sugar

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp cream of tartar

1 egg

1/2 tsp vanilla

1 1/2 cup flour

2 Tbsp sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

Preparation

  • Beat butter on high for 30 seconds
  • Add 1 cup of sugar, baking soda, & cream of tartar
  • Scrape bowl
  • Beat in egg & vanilla
  • Beat in as much flour as you can with mixer then stir in remaing flour
  • Cover & chill in fridge about 1 hr
  • Combine 1 Tsp sugar & cinnamon
  • Shape dough into 1-inch balls
  • Roll balls in cinnamon sugar and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet
  • Bake 375F for 10-11 minutes until edges are golden
  • Transfer to rack and cool
