Ingredients

cake:

1 cup sour cream combined with 1 tsp vanilla

2 1/2 cups flour

1 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

3 tsps baking powder

1 cup sugar

3 eggs

2 sticks unsalted butter (or other shortening) my mother used solid crisco and margarine, but I use all butter.

topping:

1/2 cup chopped nuts

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

Preparation

cream butter and sugar add eggs one at a time. combine and sift all dry ingredients. alternate dry ingredients with sour cream mixture ending with dry ingred. put half of cake in angelfood pan. sprinkle with topping. add rest of cake batter top with rest of topping.
