Ingredients
3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup sour cream (8 ounce container)
cinnamon sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation
Pre-heat oven to 400°F.
- Measure flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda into a sifter.
- Cream butter with sugar until well blended in a large bowl.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Sift in flour mixture, adding alternately with sour cream to make a thick batter.
- Drop by by rounded tablespoonfuls, 4 inches apart, on greased cookie sheets - spread into 2 inch rounds; sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar.
- Bake 12 minutes, or until lightly golden around the edges.
- Remove from cookie sheets; cool completely on wire racks.
