Ingredients
1 pound green beans
8 strips of bacon
A pinch of Salt
Tiny pinch of Cayenne pepper
A pinch of Garlic Salt
Large bowl of Ice Water!
Preparation
Clean green beans, rinse. Cut off ends and discard of any brownish beans.
Fill large bowl with ice and cold water, set aside.
Rapidly boil 6-8 cups water in pot, add beans. Boil for 5 minutes or until cooked.
Put cooked beans into ice water for 2 minutes, drain water.
Take 8 strips of bacon and cut into 1 inch squares (or however you like it) .
Cook in large skillet until golden brown. Drain most of bacon grease. Add green beans and saute until beans are hot. Add spices, and serve.
